WordPress website creation for your business!
WordPress is an easy content management system to build your website in. You can find how to make a WordPress website here!
WordPress websites are still the most used around the world. This content management system (CMS) works very user-friendly and has numerous possible extensions available. As a result, you can also use WordPress in a variety of ways. In this blog I will explain the most common applications and how you can use it for your own business.
What is WordPress?
WordPress originally started as a platform for publishing blogs. Soon it also became more accessible to the wider public and developers started building websites on the WordPress platform, which did not necessarily have the aim of sharing blogs with their target group. By now, about 1/3 of the entire internet runs on WordPress. That’s a whole lot of websites. You often hear that it is expected that eventually half of the entire Internet will have switched to WordPress. Then of course you can’t stay behind!
WordPress for blogging websites
WordPress is basically software for writing and publishing blogs. You notice that many entrepreneurs still choose to use WordPress for their website. Fortunately, WordPress has expanded tremendously over the years. Nowadays you can use WordPress for all kinds of different purposes. This is due to the fact that it is open source software and any programmer can add their own twist to the WordPress platform. Possible applications of using WordPress for your website last 10 years has really exploded.
WordPress for business website
Many business owners choose to build or have a website built in WordPress. They choose this because it is such a widely used system that basically any designer or developer can work with it and they can also make a large number of adjustments themselves. How many changes you can make to the website depends on the software you use to build in WordPress. Standard WordPress is rather limited, but fortunately there are many extensions possible.
Divi
We personally use Divi. Divi allows you to build and edit websites in a visual and user-friendly way. There is almost no code involved, at least not for you as an administrator/customer. Within Divi you can realize almost anything. Actually, there are no limits. Especially when you work with different developers it is also possible to use WordPress for customization. I’ll tell you more about this later in the blog.
Elementor
Another option is to use Elementor for your WordPress website. This works on the same principle as Divi, namely building and maintaining WordPress website in a visual and user-friendly way. The disadvantage of Elementor compared to Divi is that Elementor is more limited. You’ll notice that many novice web designers use Elementor for this reason, because it has just enough features to put their basic skills to use when building a WordPress website.
Gutenberg
Gutenberg is the WordPress block editor that has come standard with WordPress since WordPress 5.0 in 2018. The fact that you can work with blocks instead of code already provides a visual way of working in the process of building and maintaining your website. Still, this software is very limited and still not particularly user-friendly. It is accessible and is still used by many entrepreneurs when creating their website. If you just want to share content on your website it may be enough.
WordPress for custom solutions
The great thing about WordPress is that it is open source software. This means that developers can do anything they want with the WordPress code. No wish is too crazy and you can adapt the WordPress platform in any way you want. Because of this you will notice that many developers choose WordPress when they start working on custom websites. If no add-ons or plug-ins are available, developers can create these themselves. By using custom code they can build any software application they want. So you see, in addition to its user-friendly platform, WordPress also offers many possible extensions, so you can grow when you’re ready!
